The boy i like asked me for my phone number what does it mean?

He talked to me at lunch and when we were all getting up to go back to class he held out his hand so he could help me up. then at the end of the day he asked for my phone number. does he like me or what?

He wants your number so he can put it in his phone and talk to you,.

when you text him he will give little hints that he likes you

he said "can i have your phone number so we can talk and text" but also ever since we got to know each other better i get the feeling he likes me also he helped me get up at lunch NO BOY DOES THAT
