Why are so many young women having children out of wedlock in today's time?

Everybody knows about birth control. Is it a longing to be needed? Is it just two young adults being incredibly careless? Seems to me it would be very difficult to raise a child alone given today's economic times.

i have a daughter and i am not married. me and my partner dont feel marriage in necessary. while i do want to get married one day, not just yet is fine with me. our daughter is happy, healthy and perfectly beautiful, our not being married has not effected this at all. it is personal preference.

Men don't stick around, and marriage is a money racket. Men who do stick around because they want to, not because they're legally forced to, are a blessing.

Most of my cousins are having children, and it is not cool. I even saw them(my cousin and her partner) feed the 1year old amp! Society accepts this for what it is, just like it accepts a lot of things. Now as for why? Ask them, they feel they are ready, although clearly not(most of the time)

It really is a shame. It's like morals have flown out the window.

Don't get too bent out of shape Babagirl101. In the "good ol days" they had these things called orphanages, and trust me, those kids back in those days were NOT delivered by "storks"

There will always be those among us who want to force their morals on others, alas.

-Twenty percent of teenage men and women suffer from severe depression. To feel better, they may turn to alcoholism or become sexually active. Most women do not have contact with birth control pills. Some men and women don't have condoms. The thought of sexual intercourse also sparks ideas into the hormone-infected teenage mind. They become curious and solve the problem through masturbation. Yet they do not get enough pleasure the second and third times, thus they move to sexual intercourse.
-In the 21st century, there are more cures to diseases. There is more food. There is a larger work force, and most American families have three to four children, thus the children think they need more children. People are less educated about sexual intercourse, thus they do it for the pleasure. The population boom added many more humans that could live past the age of five. Africa had more than one billion human births in 2010. In the year 2025, India will pass in population compared to China.

There was a little ditty I learned in kindergarten: "So-n-So and So-n-So, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes "Whoever" in a baby carriage.." I would have to modify the song to: "He comes, er, uh, first comes first base, then comes second base, then if the passion gets real intense, then comes a DNA trace, especially if he denies he did it, and she needs to save face" : D

It could be lack of knowledge of sex education and the influence of media. Some parents are too conservative to talk about that matter to their children and some children who knew about it are being careless. Some media companies are so irresponsible of the programs that they have shown to the audience.

While what you say is true, there are many ignorant people who thrown caution to the wind, and self indulge!
