Why do I feel good that I've decided to drop out?

It's a wierd feeling but I feel a little more confident for some reason. I don't know, it's hard to describe, has this happened to anyone?

Oh rubenv am truly sorry you decided to do that!! Realize you were having hard time but phew.. Now what? Have you made any alternate plans? Are you at least going to try studying for your GED? Please do.
Anyway to answer your question: often just the fact of making a decision after a long time of vacillating( going back and forth) is a relief all it's own.
Your brain can finally kick-back and start thinking and focusing on other things rather than being consumed with " yes/no" all the time.
A lot of the stress you put yourself under trying to figure it out is for now at least lifted and hopefully you'll be able to focus on some positive things and begin thinking clearly about what you are going to do going forward.
Have you actually dropped out or just made the decision?
I truly hope you find your way safely and successfully and wish you all the best!

If you haven't put the wheels in motion yet try this: go month to month, just put the whole yes/no out of your head by telling yourself it's only one more month at a time and see if that doesn't give you enough relief to hang-in for just this one more day- week- month-++++??

Well you gave up so the hassle is over. But don't worry, the good feeling will only last until you try to get a good job to support yourself.
