A true religion is a religion your mind and heart can accept, a true religion is a religion that doesn't disagree with science and a true religion must have a proof of it's being a true religion...Islam is THE true religion...there's only one God...all the prophets and messengers are well respected and loved by Muslims...our prophet Muhammad(pbuh) is a messenger from Allah(God) but he's not God nor his son...the holy Quran is THE only miracle that stayed all the time, if you read the Quran you'll know exactly what I mean...our world won't be the same with out Islam...for an example compare Europe before Islam and after Islam :) May Allah guide you to the right path :) Amen :) Have a nice day :)
I'm a evangelical Christian and I think my religion is the right one because it has changed me and I have felt the spirit of god. The bible is leading me to the truth and teaching me how to live everyday
Cottonlord, think of religious questions as a football game. It's the Packers vs the Vikings and as they take the field the fans go wild. Everybody is cheering as first one side then the other scores a touchdown.
The fans are going wild. Packers! Go the Packers! Vikings! Vikings!
And the only thing both groups of fans agree about is that the referee is blind.
Asking a question about religion on Ask is very much like going to a football game. The Christians and Muslims line up on one side while the Atheists and Agnostics line up on the other. Then they hurl abuse at each other as the discussion goes on.
And what of the Referee? She's not game to show her face. You won't find too many Mods stepping onto the field in the middle of a religious debate. Well, not unless Ask has started issuing them with body armour.
Jesus said love would identify his true disciples. John 13:34,35 says "I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.?
well , you will not find the " True Religion " by this , cause every one will tell you that his religion is the right one , so, read about the religions from a trusted source , and judge by yourself and not others opinions , i hope you find the way ...
We're you aiming to start an argument?!?!?! Nice job. Everyone has their own opinions, and everyone will argue about it. Of course I think the religion I believe is the true religion, but so does everyone else who answered your question. Even the atheists think their "religion" is the right one. I completely refuse to fuel this argument.
Well, every religion is true because it exists. If not, it wouldnt be religion, it would be myth. But if you mean which religion has the real God or worships God the right way... Well, none. Christianity is not a religion. It is a direct relationship with Jesus. You must read the Bible. I men, that is if you believe that God (Jehovah), Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the real God. If you wanna know more about them, feel free to comment me.
Research has shown approximately 10 main religions and some 10,000 sects exist. Out of that some 6,000 exist in Africa, 1,200 in the United States, and hundreds more in lands throughout the earth.
Could these all be teaching truth? Of course not!
Read this: Matthew 7: 21 - 23 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.
I use to be part of a religion that indoctrinated it's followers to believe that they are the only "true" religion. When I began reading the Bible with the mind set of allowing God's Spirit to teach & show me for Himself what His Word has to say, I was devastated to awaken to the fact that they to were also filled with doctrines of humans. Their interpretations of scriptures & prophecies are not confirmed by God's Word. I asked God's Spirit to help me with this. Because this means that there is no place on Earth to find a "True Religion."
He explained that faith and religions are like a diamond. He then led me to Revelations chapter 2 & 3 where the seven churches are being examined. He said to me that the names of the churches represent the different religions. Each has attributes magnifying Him but they also are lacking in their ways.
IF ONE TAKES THE REAL DIVINE FACETS OF LIGHT FROM EACH ONE, INDIVIDUALLY AND GATHERS THEM TOGETHER AS ONE, THEN WE HAVE THE TRUE FAITH IN GOD. .

Every religion in history is true. In different times, God creates the religion to meet the world's need. All the religions come from the same headstream, that is God. If you believe in God, you could believe in any religion. Also, the teachings in every religion teach us to LOVE, UNITE, HONEST...all of these merits are from God, not from just one religion. How do you think of that?
I am a Bahai', but I agree with Jesus toghter with other religions. This is my detailed explanation "The Bahai' belief in one God means that the universe and all creatures and forces within it have been created by a single supernatural Being. This Being, Whom we call God, has absolute control over His creation (omnipotence) as well as perfect and complete knowledge of it (omniscience). Although we may have different concepts of God's nature, although we may pray to Him in different languages and call Him by different names--Allah or Yahweh, God or Brahma--nevertheless, we are speaking about the same unique Being."

"Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will." (Matt. 7:21) In English the noun "will" means desire, wish, determination, something desired, especially a choice or determination of one having authority or power. So then, Jehovah, the Supreme Authority, has a will, a desire or determination. What is it? The Scriptures tell us that in part "[God's] will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth." (1Timothy 2:4) Jesus Christ and the early Christians worked whole-souled to bring this accurate knowledge to others.True footstep followers of Jesus Christ would be doing the work that he said they would do: "In all the nations the good news has to be preached first." (Mark 13:10) Jehovah's Witnesses, numbering over seven million worldwide, are actively preaching the good news of God's Kingdom and teaching others, pointing to the Kingdom as mankind's only hope for peace and security.
Love is a distinguishing feature of true worship. Jesus likened finding true worship to finding the right road and choosing to walk on it. It is the only road that leads to everlasting life. Jesus said: “Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.” (Matthew 7:13, 14) Only one body of true Christians walks unitedly with God on the road of true worship. Therefore, it does matter which religion you choose. If you find that road and choose to walk on it, you will have found the best way of life, for it is the way of love.—Ephesians 4:1-4. Jehovah's Witnesses can help you find this road.
There is no "true" religion. For something to be true, it must be a proven fact and religion is a matter of faith. The only advice I can give, if you are looking for religion, is to ask yourself what your own theological beliefs are,and find a religion that best suites you, based on that...provided that faith does not encourage harming others for any reason...I personally believe that should be the only constant in religion. Best of luck to you..~Blessed be~
follow the teachings of prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him) and act upon them in every matter of life you will find truth in islam.may God help you to choose the right path for any information please e-mail me. email@example.com
To please God, you must reject false worship and take a stand for true worship. Jesus said in Matthew 7:16,17 says "By their fruits you will recognize them, "Every good tree produces fine fruit. In other words, those who practice the true religion would be recognized by their beliefs and their conduct. Although they are not perfect and they make mistakes, true worshipers as a group seek to do God's will. The next time Jehovah's Witnesses knock on your door, take the time to listen and examine the bible for yourself.
Great question coltonlord. Religion is often defined as how one worships. To find the truth of religion you do not have to study and compare the teachings of all the many religions. You need only learn what the Bible really teaches about true worship.
To illustrate: In many lands, there is a problem with counterfeit money. If you were given the job of picking out such false money, how would you go about it? By memorizing every kind of counterfeit? No. Your time would be better spent if you studied real money. After you knew what real money looked like, you could recognize a counterfeit. Similarly, when we learn how to identify the true religion, we can recognize those religions that are false.
True religion is neither rules-based nor ritual-based. True religion is a relationship with God. Two things that all religions hold are that humanity is somehow separated from God and needs to be reconciled to Him. False religion seeks to solve this problem by observing rules and rituals. True religion solves the problem by recognizing that only God could rectify the separation, and that He has done so.
There are many religions and beliefs, but there is only one TRUE religion. The bible shows the identifying marks of the true religion:
1. Is it making known the name of God. (John 17:6; Matt. 4:10) 2. On what are its teachings based? (2 Tim. 3:16; Mark 7:7) 3. Is true faith in Jesus Christ being demonstrated? (John 3:36; Ps. 2:6-8; Jas. 2:26) 4. Do its members truly love one another? (John 13:35) 5. Is it truly separate from the world? (John 15:19; Jas. 1:27;1 John 2:15-17) 6. Are its members teaching about the Kingdom of God? (Matt. 24:14) 7. Is it a way of life? (Isa. 1:15-17)
True religion upholds the Bible’s standard of morality and clean speech. (1 Cor. 5:9-13; Eph. 5:3-5) Its members reflect the fruits of God’s spirit in their lives. (Gal. 5:22, 23) Those who follow to true worship can be identified because they sincerely endeavor to apply Bible standards in all aspects of their lives.

Religion is a matter of choice. We all have experiences that cause us to choose our response to relationship with the unseen. The purpose of life as God sees it is to experience it. Because no one can actually be separate from God and still exist, all of the choices you make in life lead to a greater understanding of and commitment to your union with God.
A religion is true when it is taken it from the heart by abiding all the rules of the religion and remembering your god in the way it has to be. For example you go to church if you a christian you go to a mosque if you are a muslim and so on. Basically i feel there is someone somewhere who listens to you everytime and also controls your day in the way they want. You will actually feel the change when you follow your religion thoroughly.
