What would you do?
Myself and 3 others were running errands earlier, my friend was driving, and when she turned off of one street onto another road, she got pulled over about a mile later. When she asked what she had done wrong, she was told that she didn't stay in the right lane when she turned onto the road, and had gone into the left lane some before getting into the right lane. Then the officer asked for I.D. on everybody in the car. After he went back to his patrol car and ran all of us for warrants, (nobody had any), he came back to my friend and asked if she minded if he searched the car. She told him she didn't mind, but asked why he needed to. He just said "Everybody step out of the car" So, we did. For the next 30 minutes if not longer, he searched the car, and at some point another car pulled up with a female officer in it. She got out and they had ALL of us lean on my friends car while we got "patted down". We were all humiliated and it was a very busy road we were on. (Both police cars still had lights flashing) After they finished, they just said "Next time stay in the correct lane when you make a righthand turn". Why were we treated that way, and what would you do?
