Child abuse. help!!!

My best friend is scared to death that her step will severely hurt her and her 2 sisters; Savanna is 11 and Hope is 8 with ADHD. Her step-mom always yells at hope because she is not focusing on her homework (when the tv is on she was 8 other little bro/sis around and her step-mom yelling at her) My friend came to school almost balling because she was scared for her sisters sake. on top of it all my friend gets bullied at school because she cries and other stuff. she tries to ignore them but it is really hard it's hard for me to hear when I'm standing next to her. whenever I try to do something she always holds me back. so it just keeps going on and on. whenever she cries I feel helpless because I can't do anything. she also gets bullied for being short, family problems, not being "smart", not being "pretty" and the worst of all she gets bullied because she hangs out without "us" (my friends) they say we're to "cool" for her were to "smart" we're "prettier" were "nicer" were "skinny". I feel helpless what should I do? btw my friends and I are only 13

Ask a adult that you trust but with your friends permission. About the bullies tell them stop that they are jealous of her because she hangs out with you guys and that she is special and unique and is the greatest person that you have met.

She needs to see the school counselor. They will help her deal with the emotional issues. If there is abuse, they are obligated by law to report it.

Angelbabe13 you can't make her go. Unfortunately DCYF to my knowledge won't do anything for verbal abuse. If there was physical abuse, they could be called. I would just try to be a good friend. Tell your mom and see if she can spend more time at your house. The only other thing your friend can do is try to talk to her dad.

Your friend is facing too much pressure and abuse and she needs to talks to someone. You can talk to her and convince her to talk to the school counselor as talking might help. In addition, you can visit the principle so that the bullies can be stopped. For the family issues, the counselor will know how to handle the matter

If the abuse gets worse call the cops, if she ever talks or feels like hurting herself, call the cops and suggest her to therapy. Have your phone ready if anything happens

Go to the school consoler and get them to go to the police if it is abuse. I was bullied for some of the same reasons but I stood up for myself and met friends who didn't care what was "wrong" with me tell her she needs to stand up for herself no matter how hard it is she needs to have power in her life. She can't let other people get in her head.
