Okay. Here goes : My momma does baked "fried" chicken & it's delicious! She soaks the chicken in a bowl of buttermilk & some (?) herbs overnight. Then, she coats the chicken pieces in bread crumbs. She then places the chicken on a greased, tinfoil-covered baking pan. She cooks the chicken for 30 minutes. Then, using tongs, she flips the chicken & cooks the other half for another 30 minutes. The chicken is YUMMY!!! I suggest looking up a recipe because I can't remember what herbs Momma uses. (Sorry about that) We usually boneless chicken tenders. Hope I helped. (:
There are as many ways as there are chickens. The one my family likes the best is: desolve some garlic and onion powder in 1/2 cold water & 1/2 vinegar, marinate chicken w/ skins on a few hrs. in the fridge.- put some flour in a large plastic bag and shake with, oregano, tarragon, onion powder, garlic powder, rosemary, sage to your taste. Dry chicken parts on paper towel then shake each piece in bag w/flour & herbs.Do this a second time if you like. Heat 1/2 inch cooking oil in large fry pan to fast fry temp.place parts in turning frequently until all sides are browned, reduce heat to slow fry, southern fry, turning now and then until finished.. A baked potato and corn on the cobb, you'll make them smile.
