Does the Koran say to kill the infedels?

Report as

Dear Brother,
I Am A Muslim. and i just wanted to clarify that you are lucky that you live in the best time where you can use technology to clarify each question came into your mind.
as you see that muslims scince time where Muhammed (p.a.p.u.h) appears untill now did not try to make wars against non muslims.. just watch your T.V. ....what do you see???? who is attacking who?
Our religion is trying to teach us peace and we have rools that teach us how to defend and when to attack.
The Qur'an commands Muslims to stick up for themselves in a defensive battle -- i.e. if an enemy army attacks, then Muslims are to fight against that army until they stop their aggression. All of the verses that speak about fighting/war in the Qur'an are in this context. SEE REST IN COMMENT BOX.

"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors. And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter... But if they cease, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful... If they cease, let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (2:190-193).
It is clear from the context that these verses are discussing a defensive war, when a Muslim community is attacked without reason, oppressed and prevented from practicing their faith. In these circumstances, permission is given to fight back -- but even then Muslims are instructed not to transgress limits, and to cease fighting as soon as the attacker gives up. Even in these circumstances, Muslim are only to fight directly against those who are attacking them, not innocent bystanders or non-combatants.

to kill anybody is " Haram " in Islam
you don't have the permission of killing a soul

Report as
That's only in the Mecca suras, which are abrogated by the Medina suras
Report as
KiIIing infidels is "halel" in the Medina suras
Report as
Actually I don't know
but even if it's true , They are wrong and I'm sure of that because
Killing infidels or other people is always "Haram" in Islam
but of course there's some cases that it's not Haram like protecting yourself from a thief for example
Report as
It was only haram in the Mecca suras when muhammed was building his army, by the time of the Medina suras he changed it because his army was ready to invade.
Report as
No , he doesn't change it , there is a big difference between changing a rule in Qur'aan and a changing in the cases
in case of pain sure it's Haram to kill
But in case of warm you will be obligate to kill the one who try to kill you
but btw what do you mean of suras ? do you mean sura ?
Report as
Suras, yes, chapters, the older peaceful-sounding Mecca suras are abrogated by the newer, violent Medina suras.
Report as
Okay I don't understand what's you'r trying to say about Mecca and Medina sorry I'm not very well in English .. :D
but any way Allah says that we are not able to kill humans in general and who do the opposite he will be punished by Allah that's all .. :)
Report as
Then why does 8:12 say "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" ?
