What do you think this quote means?

"Love comforteth like sunshine after rain, But lust's effect is tempest after sun; Love's gentle spring doth always fresh remain, Lust's winter comes ere summer half be done; Love surfeit's not, Lust like a glutton dies, Love is all truth, Lust full”
It's from the Tempest and it's for school. I just want some people's opinions. Thank you. :)

Love is sweet and comforting, it sooths the spirit. lust is an additive high, a souring habit. It leaves the feeler empty while love goes on.

Lust will last for a period of time but love will last for a lifetime. Did you make up that quote? It's beautiful.

No. It's from the Tempest by Shakespeare. :) Glad you like it.

It's a contrast statement. It shows the contrast between love and lust.

I have an idea of what it means but I need a modern interpretation. I didn't want to just use my own in case it was wrong, so I decided to Ask some other people, too.

Love stands the test of time. Lust distracts us from love. Lust is an illusion of love; fake and deceiving. It will not last.
