How would you keep 6 pizzas hot for an hour or two before a party?

there is no delivery in my area and would like to pick them up so I don't have to leave bday party when guests are here.

Bring home Papa Murphy's pizzas, you cook them yourself and they are very good! Or as an activity of the party, have guests pair up and make them themselves. Buy pre-made crusts, different toppings, shredded cheese is easy to have on hand, and you can buy jars of pizza sauce...really fun activity, follow up with individually made ice cream sundaes, again made by the guests! And then invite me!

Me too, really fun, huh! The only problem we had was a shortage of oven space.

Don't put them in a refrigerator until they arrive and then put it in the microwave for atleast 2 minutes.

You can actually leave them in their boxes and put them in your oven. After about 15 min. turn on your oven, but only on the lowest temperature (bake not broil). (Check on them every now & then to make sure they're staying warm enough, but not getting dry.

This is what I was thinking. Preheating oven to maybe 140? Removing plastic box things and placing in oven maybe an hr before needed.

Put them in the oven on the lowest temp to say warm, but make sure you take any plastic packets or dividers out of the boxes first. Keep the pizzas at least 140 degrees to prevent spoilage.

140 for an hr before needed?

Yeah, perishable food should be either kept at 140 or over, or 40 degrees or under when holding for long periods of time to not risk food born illness. :)

A lot of ovens won't go any lower than 170....if yours is like that, 170 should be fine. Nothing will burn. Just don't forget to take the plastic out of the box. lol :)
