Clicking sound coming from my Dell laptop charger

There is a clicking sound coming from my Dell charger, and slowly goes away if I unplug it from the wall. What is this?

The clicking sound from the laptop charger is a sign that the laptop is wearing out. This makes it insufficient in charging the laptop. It is better to have a technician examine the charger. You could also consider getting a replacement.

Also, I just tested it, if i put it to my ear when I plug it in, it makes a high pitch humming. Is that normal, or a sign of it wearing out as well?

Maybe a wire in there came off or it got melted or it does nothing.
