if Humans were to be wiped off the Earth and all that is left is a few plants, would the Earth be able to ressurect or renew itself?

I wasnt sure how to put this question but anyhow im just curious. surely it would be able to move on without us right?

Humans have only existed a very small fraction of the Earth's lifespan. It doesn't need us, we need it.

Nope. We have most likely done far too much damage to the Earth.

Nah, Plants would also need carbon dioxide you know?
And we humans that provide that.
so it would be worse...than now.

As long as animals were to exist in this scenario, plants would survive and thrive.

Life and time would continue, it might just take a few million years for time/evolution to create a healthy planet again.

If it's just the humans that are gone and the other animals are still around, then it'll be fine. If all the animals are gone too, a lot of plants will be in trouble since animals help a lot of plants pollinate. The earth and living things existed before man and I would think they could do just fine without us.

YES... That would be about the only way the earth would be able to renew and heal itself. The damage caused to this planet is man made. Take away the MAN part... and it will heal. The planet has been around a lot longer than man. It will be here a lot longer than man.

Human beings are a cancer on the earth. We are not at all important in the existence of plant life. If anything, we are preventing plant life from flourishing. Plants would be more than ok with humans gone.

It has repaired itself in the past, we can destroy ourselves, but we don't have the capacity to destroy the earth "YET," 1 hope we never do, The earth has enough natural enemies gunning for it, ones who "CAN"destroy it.without any life at all it would survive, although it would be a different planet.

Yeah. Mother Earth is always alive, doing what she does best. But without people, she'd be a happier gal. No pollution = no sickness = no death.
