How do cds work?

Report as

A CD (same as a DVD or Blu-Ray) is basically a mirror with little dents in it. The laser in the player is reflected by this mirror and the dents cause variations in the reflection. Those variations are the information - music, video or whatever - which the player can process.

You insert them in a disk drive and they spin around very fast.
