How can I stop leg cramps?

Report as

Sometimes if you don't eat enough salt or are low on potassium it will cause cramps in feet and legs, but don't eat too much salt, no more than 1/2 tsp daily.

Is!!! Made one earlier for dinner with frozen yogurt this time. The Greek Style Frozen yogurt is really good in there, not too sweet so doesn't overpower the fruit flavors. DOUBLE YUM!:-),:-)!!

Legs cramps usually symptom of calcium deficiency - or extreme athletics. Increasing Calcium intake should dissolve leg cramps. Best to get vitamins from food rather than capsules or pills. But if cramping severe at night, a calcium supplement works pretty fast. ( add magnesium if taking calcium in pill or capsule form for body to absorb calcium )

The cause may be from several things. Calcium, Potassium,Sodium or Magnesium deficiency. Electrolytes imbalance and Dehydration can also be the problem. Drink lots of water daily. To help relieve the pain from leg cramps you can first try rubbing the area vigorously ( this creates heat) which can help relax the muscle. Also before you go to bed at nite take a nice hot shower to relax muscles.
