Would I be able to bulk up and get big using a pushup-only routine?

I'm just curious. Rumor has it that Tom Hardy did strictly 2500 pushups a day and some sit-ups to get big for his role as Charles Bronson(The prison fighter not the Death Wish star.). If I did like, let's say 1000 pushups a day 4 days a week would I be able to get huge doing just that?

You may be able to bulk up, but not get big using a push-up only routine. This routine only focuses on your arms and hence can give you defined bulk on the upper body especially on the arms. However, to get big, you need to incorporate additional exercises and eat healthy. Consult a professional gymnast for more help.

Not big, maybe defined in the arms and upper body. It's is surely one of the better exercises. Muscular bigness comes with weight lifting.
