New Battery in Roomba Vacuum (500 series) will not charge: Error 5 message and now its dead.

The battery on my Roomba Vacuum died a few weeks ago. I bought one battery and tried to charge the vacuum but got an Error 5 message. I returned this battery and got another one. This new one won't even charge. The vacuum is now completely dead. I can't even do the reset procedure now. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with it. Is it the battery? Is it the charger? Is it the vacuum itself?

This vacuum and the batteries are expensive as bejesus and I would hate to have to buy another one. Any ideas on how to fix this?

It's most likely the electronics in the vacuum. Check your warranty, and try to get it replaced.
