I have a great view from the drivers seat in my truck...I can see EVERYTHING that goes on in cars (and yes...I mean everything!) I see more texting while driving on a daily basis than I can even count...men, women, cops, you name it...every doggone one of them...then sometimes I get to see them wreck.
not as much as intended. just because its a law doesnt meen people will follow it. honestly i think the death rates may have gone up because they think that since they can get away with it that they should do it.
I don't know an accurate number but I'm sure it has. Think about how many time you have been looking at something else or trying to do something else while driving and had to swerve or break hard. Any time you are distracted it's an accident waiting to happen.
People still drink and or get high and drive. I think we can all agree that is completely unacceptable. Texting and driving doesn't have that level of stigma yet. Most of us would get out of the car if we knew the driver was drunk but might not say anything if the driver was texting the Bill of Rights to their buddy.
