Why do dogs smell so bad?

I always bathe my puppy but he still smells reeaallyy bad, like wet dog,and I was just wondering why they still smell

Really?
You're asking why your dog ... that you bathe all the time ... smells like a wet dog.

You honestly don't see the correlation, there?

Okay well I guess u didn't explain that very well but thanks anyway

It smells like a wet dog because you bathe it.
It takes about a week for the "wet dog" smell to disappear.
So when you bathe it so often, the smell never goes away.

It's just your dog. They aren't supposed to smell.

For one, it's bad for their skin and fur to bathe them so frequently. They'll start getting really dry skin, flaky skin (which could crack and bleed if bad enough). Really dogs should only be bathed once every 3-4 weeks. Sounds gross, but dogs aren't people. The beneficial oils in their fur and skin make it important to infrequently bathe them.
. . .
The wet dog smell obviously comes from washing the puppy so much. It takes a while for the smell to go away. If it bothers you so much, spray some perfume on your dog and invest in some Febreze. Welcome to the world of dog ownership! :P

I had a client with that same problem and it could be allergies, skin bacteria, diet etc... consult a Vet. Do not bathe them more than 2 times a month.

some dog breeds smell more, mainly its the oil secretions in the skin that cause the wet dog smell, a close friend of mine is a vet and she told me that it can vary from dog to dog no matter how clean the dog is. Oh and age, sometimes older dogs smell more too, but this again varies from dog to dog.
