Yeah when you try to put up with everything, you end up exploding. You start to rebel and every thing around harms you because your parents are not there for anymore. So now you dont know what to do. Since you dont have overprotective parents consider yourself very lucky. Because you dont have to deal with the bull$hit. Your parents give for why you cant go to the movies or why you cant hangout with your friends.

Be thankful you have her! My Mum passed away when I was 14 and I am 26 now and wish everyday I could have had her here to be over protective. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten pregnant at 16 as well!

You need a heart to heart talk with her and explain your problem. There is something strange about not being able to have friends over at least. How old are you?

14.My mom has issues and every time i talk to her seriously she doesnt listen. She used to be a jehovahs witness and jw's dont let their kids hang with normal kids so i think that is why they arent allowed to come over.

Maybe you live in a tough part of town and she is looking at possibilities. Could she maybe be right to think that way? In some ways?

I seriously feel your pain too. Im 17 and im not allowed to do anything . I cant even get a job or go to my friend's house who lives 5 mins away from me. Trying talking to your mother about how you feel. Im trap in my house until im 18. :( I never got to experience a childhood, Like spending the night at my friend's or anything.

You should be happy that she cares that much about you. Many people don't feel half that much love. I know it is a pain, my mom was overprotective too. As for going to a friend's house, have you mom meet their parents. She can then get a feel for them and ask any questions she may have about supervision while you are there.

How old are you? is the first question. If you are under sixteen, then just do what you are told and be a good girl. So very many bad things happen to young girls these days, and your mother is right in trying to protect you. Some day you will thank God for her.

Tell your mom that you want more freedom when you turn sixteen, and when you turn sixteen, BE RESPONSIBLE. Honor every rule she gives you, and don't ever miss a curfew. If you show her that you can be responsible, she will eventually give you more freedom.

ooooh. bad news. YOUR MOM NEEDS TO READ THIS. you NEED to allow children to develope social skills. they will have problems relating and forming good healthy relationships keeping getting employment and a whole host of other problems . keeping your child on a short leash means that when they finaly get off they won't know what is acceptable behavior and go off the deep end.
The ONLY thing you can do as a parent is; give your children a GOOD set of values and morals and hope they live by them.
This does NOT mean you don't have the right to know where they are who they're with and have contact and a curfue. at all times.
I understand the world we live in. you must be vigalent . it's about balance.I'm 50 yrs old and have 3 school age well rounded honor students in sports. My duaghter dates a NICE guy regular /drives. I can trust ALL of them to do right.
