well , i am not sure though , but small comment on " My dog's very soulful and he's going to Heaven " , animals will not enter heaven or hell , they will be dust at the day of judgement ...that is after every animal takes it is right ...
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The claimants would get their claims on the Day of Ressurection so much so that the hornless sheep would get its claim from the horned sheep. ------------- sorry if my answer is not in the suitable place ...
I love animals! And I’ve read some interesting things in the Bible that relate to your question. In the creation account in Genesis Chapter 1, we read that various animals are all referred to by the same word: “souls.” (Genesis 1:20, 24) However, the Bible also makes it clear that a soul is mortal, it dies. (Ezekiel 18:20)
God values animals, they are souls, and how we care for them is important to Him. “The righteous one is caring for the soul of his domestic animal,” says Proverbs 12:10. It is good to remember, though, that the Bible stresses that humans, not animals, were made ‘in the image and likeness of God.’ (Genesis 1:26) While animals were created with a limited life span, humans had the prospect of living on earth forever. (Psalm 37:29) Jesus said that to enjoy “everlasting life,” we must exercise faith and take in knowledge of God—things that animals are incapable of doing. As an animal lover, and one who recently lost a 16-year-old dog to kidney disease (my lovely Meeko!), I can definitely relate to wanting animals to live forever, but the reality is they cannot. They were made for our enjoyment, but going to heaven/hell is not part of that purpose. Hope that helps!
No I don't believe they have souls they just react towards the environment they live in. Wild animals react wild because people have been trying to kill them for years. House animals act calm because there in a loving caring safe environment which is why you hear about them helping society so much. if God gave them souls they'd be able to talk and understand us better but he doesn't want them to have souls so they don't.

The bible says YES. If man has a soul, animals too have souls. Though Christianity is not ready to allow animal the same honor as man! Read Ecclesiastes 3:19:
"For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity".
Revelation speaks of horses! red-black-pale- white!!animals were created by God. Animals have instincts. Man was made from the dust of the earth and Became a living SOUL. I think God did not breAth into animals but did in humans. I once told my little Sunday school kids..... That once we see Jesus and we still want our pets/ i am sure He will Answer our wish!
