During Meiosis, One Diploid Cell (Have 46 Chromosomes) Goes Through ADouble Split That Results In 4 Haploid (23 chromosomes) Cells. In Males, The Result Is 4 Sperm With 23 chrmosomes Each. In Females, The Result Is One Egg & 3 Polar Bodies That Have No Function. Meiosis Is Important Because In Order For ABaby To Have The Right Number Of Chromosomes For AHuman (46) ASperm & Egg Have To Have Half That Amount.
Since ur refering to meiosis id asume ur relating to meisos 1 , the end result is 2 cells and meisos 2 would result in 4 haploid cells !! This isnt in detail so u should rather read ur text on the proceses which make this happen such prophase , metaphase, anaphase and etc ! Good luck
