How can i quit smoking?

i started smoking when i was around 12 years old because i thought it was cool. im 16 now. so 4 years later i realize it was one of the most UNCOOL things i could have ever done! i smoke about more than a half a pack a day. i really want to quit because id love to play sports and be active but with me smoking this much its really hard to do so. literally everyone around me smokes. My dad and sister in law smokes in the house and there is no way my dad will stop smoking in the house. my mom doesnt smoke in her house but she smokes in her car, and she isnt budging from that either.. a lot of my other family and my friends smoke too and i dont want to stop hanging out with them. literally no one around me is willing to not smoke around me and i find it very hard to not smoke because of it.I have tried the gum and stuff but it didnt work and i do not have the money to be buying all these products. the only one that is willing to keep me motivated and support me is my boyfriend because he hates the fact that i smoke. if anyone has some advise for me id love for you to give it to me. id really really appreciate it

They are way too expensive.I used to smoke almost 2 packs a day,until I couldn't afford them and realized it's all a mind game anyway.

Find something to motivate you to stop such your family or perhaps your girlfriend or boyfriend

slowly by slowly play games on ur mind by example smoke only 1 segerate and get this in return, am sure u will figure out some, set the goal, achieve it and when u have it cherish it

Try one of 'em electric cigarettes. I kinda do not smoke now 'coz someone doesn't want me to :)

i have tried the cheap ones. they dont really work that well. and i dont have the money to buy the really expensive one. thats why i was looking for another way.

I smoked for 30 years and one day I just had enough. I started chewing gum when it got bad. It won't work unless you REALLY want to quit

You can do it. Everyone I knew smoked, too, but I never picked up the habit although I did try it. It's definitely possible. Have a hotline set up with your boyfriend, so when you feel weak you can call for support.

Think about what 3 cigarettes you need to get you through the day, and smoke just those three for 1-2 weeks. After that cut one of the cigarettes out. Then another week later cut another cigarette out. Now you are down to one. When you finish the pack just stop.

You can't expect others to quit because you do. It is their choice to smoke. You can only do what is best for you. When you are with smokers stand upwind so it blows away from you.

sounds like a good plan. gonna try it. I dont expect anyone to quit but my self. i mean it would be nice for their health tooo but still i dont expect them too. i just wish they would be more willing to not smoke around me is all. thank you for the advise.

Go to your local hospital and go to respiratory care... A lot of people smoked and now can't even breath without machines
