I say if you're responsible, not a psycho, and have proof that you will be responsible and can handle it (safety course), then no one should hold you back. However, if you have a history of being.... non-gun worthy (You know what I mean), then no. You shouldn't have a gun. I'm pretty neutral for the most part. Like Southern said, people kill people. If someone can't handle a gun, they he/she shouldn't have one.
All of the recent shootings were by people with known psychological issues. Whomever they were living with was irresponsible. I don't know about you, but if I'm taking care of a mentally sick person, I'm not going to keep a gun where they can get it! Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Irresponsibility kills people. They can't take away our constitutional right!
