I think they suck. Part of growing up and becoming who you're going to be is expressing your individuality. A dress code is okay...no super short skirts or pants falling off your ass. But uniforms stifle a person.
It's a love-hate situation. They help because it reduces bullying and you save a lot of time in the morning. However, uniforms don't let you express yourself. But I'm sure you can find a way to express yourself through your uniform, while not breaking the rules.(:
Im in middle school and i love them. Im not crazy they are really convinent. You can still buy name brand clothes as long as they follow the dress code. Its much easier to get ready in the morning and saves me a ton of time, you dont have to worry about dressing good for guys or to out do other girls. I really like he uniform because its not too strict and still gives me options. Its a lot easier to focus on school too not having to worry what other people think of your clothes.
like I always say, I went to a private school for 3rd grade, and we had uniforms except on picture day. it reduced complaints and distractions in the classroom, and it made it a ton easier to get dressed in the morning. but on the flip side, they do make it hard to express yourself. as 1D said in their song Na na na: we've got a bit of love-hate.
I have uniforms at my junior high and it sucks. My mom hates it too because she thinks its a waste of money. Kids don't even like what they are wearing. And as soon as they can get out of wearing uniforms the clothes that your parents just bought will be gone because your never going to wear them again because you don't even like them.
