Meiosis I and Meiosis II are identical steps that follow each other. Is this true?
No, not at all. Meiosis II does not go through the first step like in Meiosis I (I blanked out on the name, sorry). Plus (as @anstazia1 mentioned) the two daughter cells from Meiosis I split at the end of Meiosis II.
they are simalier but meosis II is the second split to get 4 daughter cells instead of only 2
I thought it was mitosis then meiosis?!
No, mitosis is for somatic cells and meiosis is for gametes.
