I think I have iron deficiency anemia, and I am vegetarian. What are some good ways to get iron without meds or meat? Thanks! :)

Wine is a good option but because you are too young, lets say Grape Juice or Strawberry Marmalade. And of course Green leafy's such as spinach and beets(I kinda ask this question today so these are the right answers)

Awesome! I love spinach!!! :)

Probably a new thing for you coming from Turkey. Try Spinach with yoghurt.
Report as
What? No offense but that doesn't sound very appealing, I hate yogurt! I eat spinach raw with cheese and honey-mustard on top :)

Different cultures, different tastes. I cannot imagine spinach with cheese and honey-mustard.

Oh I get it now. How does your mom cooks spinach?
Report as
She doesn't. We just buy it packaged like regular lettuce and put it in a bowl with cheese and honey-mustard! Yum!
Report as
Oh because of that. You eat it fresh, raw really raw, I get it now. Do you want me to tell how we cook in here?
Report as
Sure!

1- Buy the Spinach, clean&wash them.
2-Dry onions, then peel, finely chop.
3-Melt butter in a deep saucepan.
4-Stir in minced meat sand onion over low heat stirring occasionally left minced meatand cook until the water evaporates
Then, pre-wash the rice, stir in tomato paste and water and mix.
Put finely chopped spinach mixture when the water starts to boil, put the pot and cover the pot.
Until rice is tender, (10-15 minutes) continue to cook.
Serve with yogurt as an option.

My english is good actually but in my first time, I tell a recipe in english so I get help from Google Translate. We also cook spinach with eggs, sort of like this, and eat that with yogurt too.

You won't know if you're iron deficient until you've had blood tests.
