Can i wear the nazi emblum on my shirt to school?

its a creed really, and I'm wandering if its against the rules. ( Double points if you work for a school.)

Report as

No. Wearing the insignia of the most hated people in the history of man will only cause upset and drama. Why would you want to do that?

Technically the "nazi" emblems true meaning is completely harmless.
Report as
I understand that. Hitler took it from an ancient Roman cross. However, the world associates the swastika with Hitler, WWII, and the Holocaust. To wear it or brandish it invokes strong emotions in people, especially those who fought or lost loved ones in the war, and obviously, it is highly offensive to Jewish people.

you mean the swastika and why do you want to wear that
i mean it has tons of meanings but its just that into days world its used for White power and other racist things along those lines
it meant peace in japan and it was used as the face of old gold coins as currency
id say dont wear it but maybe try doing a presentation in school and educate them about it

its been used by the nazis. completely tainted. Seeing it makes me sick-i dont care what it was used for in the past, a group of horrible, cold blooded murderers used it to represent them. the only reason id ever get near one of those is to burn it. why someone would EVER even consider wearing one is beyond comprehension.

The SWASTIKA? What temples are you even talking about? The only temples a swastika would be on would be the headquarters of a hate group.
Report as
Those Buddhist Temples... Saw a couple of them with Swastikas in Asia. By the way the Swastika is a character in the Chinese language.
Report as
auxarcs: Although it was used most recently by the Nazi party, the swastika has been a symbol of luck, fortune, and peace in many cultures around the world. Hindu and Buddhist temples feature swastikas in their architecture and artwork. Swastikas can also be found in Central Native American mosaics. Hitler chose the swastika as his emblem because it has long been a symbol of luck and divine favor.
Report as
Hitler chose it because he greatly admired the ancient Romans. He took it from the design of an old Roman cross.

It is nice though but evil in many eyes except the punks, skinheads and the goths

Well, it's an EXTREMELY disrespectful thing to do, and it could be, nay, is offensive to someone's religion. It probably isn't in the dress code. If you have a shred of decency in your body, you wouldn't do it. Don't do it, ya scumbag.

That's only one school. Rules vary greatly from school to school and from state to state. Most schools that I know of will not tolerate children wearing swastikas to school.

It depends on your schools dress code but most likely you can't and they'll make you either change the shirt or put something over it at my old school if you find have something to change into they would put duct tape over whatever was against the dress code.

Do you agree with the intimidation and murdering of millions of people? The thievery, and robbing of what didn't belong to them? Of medical experiments and torture on unwilling and helpless people? If this is your creed you have a lot more worries than whether you can wear a swastika to school or not. Maybe you need to go to school and read about these immoral, awful people.

First of all, you should learn how to spell. It's emblem. Secondly, what you want to do is highly offensive. Perhaps you need to study history a bit more intently. Can you spell Holocaust?

Why? Thats one of the coldest, most horrific things you could do! Its a symbol of evil and savage brutality as well as insanity. Prince Harry of England got in big trouble for wearing a nazi costume to a Halloween party. Its not a 'creed'. Its an INSULT to every hollocaust surviver who still lives (and there are many). People who wear the symbol today are sick sick hate fillef people like neo-nazis, skin heads and other hats group members. You wear such a symbol youll be indentifying yourself as a monster and true bigot.

It depends entirely upon your school dress code. I would suggest looking in your student handbook, or asking a school official for a copy of the dress code. Although it signifies the cruelty and bigotry of the Nazis, you should be free to wear it. America is the land of the free. It doesn't matter if some people find something unsavory or offensive; you have the right to express your beliefs and values, even if the majority does not share them.

You're right that as Americans we have the freedom to wear whatever we want, but in the public school system, that freedom does not apply. And in this case, that's a good thing.

Until a person is old enough to understand how offensive the swastika is to people, so he can make his own choice not to wear it, he should be prevented from wearing it to school.
Report as
Very true answer Jj ! And very good point TDM!

Good point Texas, but if he's questioning wether he'd be allowed to wear a swastika, I think he probably understands the implications.
