You can treat your sore throat by gargling some warm salt water. You can also make a mixture of hot lemonade with honey or try some echinacea, garlic and horehound. You can check out http://www.besthealthmag.ca/sorethroat for some natural sore throat remedies.
Hi, Unicorn. One sure way for me is to use chewable Vitamin C. It is water soluble, so you cannot overdose on it. What your body doesn't use, it pees out. I usually take about 4,000 milligrams about 3 times a day and it stops about 8 in 10 sore throats from turning into something worse. Also, in the meantime, be gargling hot salt water. That is very soothing. ;-)
Drinking warm tea, hot apple cider, gargling salt water, and maybe buying some anesthetic spray from Walgreen's to numb your throat a little but. Halls breezers are yummy and make your throat feel better as well.
McDonald's smoothies made my strep throat feel way better. I ended up switching to cold ice and those after trying the lemon-honey tea remedy. The caffeine will irritate some people's throats (like mine) others it has been proven to work. Lozenges and life savors help :)
First rinse out your mouth with mouth wash to get the bacteria out. Then heat up or boil water, lemon juice, and honey together. (if not already done, put it in a cup) Let it cool down a little, enough to where you can drink it. Take small sips and allow it to sooth the throat.
