Pitbulls were originally known as nanny dogs and I have had my son around them since he was 6 weeks old, it's the owner and how they treat the animal. But back to the question, yes it will probably shed a lot. Look for a short hair dog known for having a history in warm climates and it shouldn't shed too much or grow an excessive coat that it will shed during the winter
Beware - Both Pit Bulls and Chow Chows are on the dangerous list for insurance companies. (doesn't mean it WILL be dangerous, just that there's more probability that he will). You've got a MIX of BOTH. Beware!
Try a Bichon Frise , they are the cutest dogs in the worl, i have one and i can't imagine a life without him (I know sounds gay but its true) They don't shed , they are small but so adorable and loving !!!!
My roommate had a chow and it shed a fair amount of hair. Pit bulls from what I have seen really aren't big shedders. It the dog has more of a chow coat I suggest you comb it outside everyday. If it has a pittie coat get the ZoomGroom from Kong and brush it outside once a week. That should keep the hair to a minimum.
