I am recovering from a cold but really want to soak in our outdoor hot tub...BUT it is freezing outside, is this safe to do?

I come straight in after 30 minutes and dry off but am worried about making my cold worse...

The common cold is a virus. You don't get it from being cold. I'd be more worried about hypothermia.

Your cold will only get worse as long as you breathe in heated air. That is what makes the cold germs thrive. If you are outside breathing cooler air or cold air... It will not make your cold worse. Cold germs cannot live in the cold.

Yes. It is a myth that a person can get a cold when they go outside with wet hair so to speak. The reason you get a cold is because your resistance is down. 2,000 mg vitamin C Ecenacia and Zinc for three days and cold will be gone. Go in the hot tub just make sure you have a warm cozy towel and robe to put on as soon as you get out and go in the house. Enjoy!
