Honestly it's both a vicious and a nonsensical belief.
"God" had to sacrifice himself to himself to get around his own proclamations made because a dirt man and a rib woman ate a magic fruit given to them by a talking snake.
Christians believe that all people inherently deserve hell just because their (alleged) first ancestors committed the crime of gaining knowledge. And supposedly their "loving" god requires a blood sacrifice to negate this inborn evil. But that blood sacrifice only works if you believe it will and vow to obey this god, which rather indicates this "original sin" hasn't really been removed at all, since you still need to jump through hoops to have it "forgiven".
Well it means he died for the Original Sin when Adam and Eve disobeyed God And ate the apple. It's all really a metaphor. There's actually a lot more to that story, Adam and Eve were really free,As soon as they ate the apple it opened their eyes to all the evil in the world. in other words Adam and Eve (humans) caused evil(sins). it's all a fear tactic by ppl to keep other ppl on a good path . it's all bullshit!
Jesus was killed so we could be saved from eternal hell after death you should look for a bible so you can study theese things ( im so sorry that looks way meaner that i ment it to be i meant it as like if you didnt know god that you could accept him into your life)
Actually, He died for the sin of the world. Not your personal sins. When adam sinned in the garden, he died spiritually. He instantly took on the sin nature. He was scared, ashamed, and blamed eve. we, since we are the seed of adam, were born with that sin nature. We were born sinners; cut off from God. That is why Jesus died. That is why Jesus said we must be born again. Our personal sins weren't the issue when it comes to salvation. We are not sinners because we commit sin. We sin because we were born sinners.
Jesus willing allowed himself to be arrested, tortured and executed as the One Final Sacrifice, taking the sins of the world onto himself, so that humans no longer had to struggle hard to win Gods favor in order to be with Him. He took the sins of the world into death the rose three days later washed pure and clean. At that time much of Mosaic law was fulfilled and no longer held power over believers, including ritual sacrifice and other strict observance of law. Before Christ it was all about 'works', believers had to perform and work in specific ways to get close to God. After Christ all we had/have to do is believe and accept the HUGE free Gift of Grace God gives us through Christs willing sacrifice. It doesnt mean we are perfect or no longer can be tempted or sin. It means we are no longer slaves to our sin nature. We have a way out, someone who loves us and is willing to help us even when we slip and screw up, if we reach out and just ask.
Reading the answers here I get the idea that Christians are free to commit any sins because Jesus has already owned up all the sins and has already undergone punishment for the same. Sounds interesting... Can I jump on the bandwagon too? ;)
