I had to quit smoking because it was bad for my health. The way I done was buying nicotine patches.I also made myself deal. I would smoke less and less everyday and then It when it came to one drag I would stop fro good. It worked and know im smoke free :)
Different people need different ways. My cousin just quit using the patch. My sister-in-law used Chantix, my mom figured out which 5 cigarettes she needed to get thru the day once she got used to just five she would eliminate one and kept doing that until she was down to none.
I quit in 1998,its not easy and you will gain weight ,you must be determined ; and wanting th stop is the first positive step. Remember why you want to stop, that was enough motivation for me ,and I had support ; once or twice, they had to physically stop me, but I got over it ,and I appreciate it today, because at the end of the day ; I feel better mentally ,and physically.
I've read on a magazine to help you quit smoking wash your clothes so they don't smell like cigarettes, throw your cigarettes away, carry a bottle of water with you, and suck on things like lollipops or candy cigarettes.
