I saw this on the Magic School Bus the other day. The mouth crushes the food with the teeth. The food is then swallowed through the esophagus to the stomach, where acid breaks down the food to the point where it goes to the small intestine. There the fluid gets sucked out of the solids. The solids are then sent to the large intestine where the solids are spread throughout the rest of the body. Lastly, the remains take a trip to the colon.
When you put food into your mouth, it is chewed and then we swallow it. It then moves to the stomach and from there it will be mixed with water and other fluids. The food is then passed to the intestine. Nutrients escape through the walls of the intestine into our blood. From there they are carried to all parts of the body.
