Good gory-anime with good plot?

I loved the gore in deadman wonderland, and it was a pretty original plot concept. I was wondering if there were any similarly gory anime, with a good story. Thanks.

Try HellSing.
There's PLENTY gory-ness in this anime.

Alrighty then. How about...Higurashi? I bet you've seen that too. :c I don't really know that many gory ones. Lol.
