When english people say how do you take your tea black or white are they talking about coffee?

They are asking if you'd like it "black" - meaning nothing added to it, or "white" - meaning with milk or cream.

No... tea. People drink it with cream and sugar as well.

they are talking about tea
Black- plain with no sugar or cream or milk
White- lots of milk or cream and some sugar maybe
