I am a student of the Bible and can say with 100% certainty your mother is not in some burning pit of fire called Hell. She is not in pain. She is dead. She has no consciousness. I'm sorry for your loss.

I too am Agnostic. I believe that there is a God, I just haven't found my place. As for the Christian God, I do not believe for one moment he is our God.
I've had several friends who committed suicide. They were good people, very good people. I do not believe they went to hell.
I'm not condoning suicide. In fact, I think suicide is one of the most selfish things a person could do.

I am Christian and I absolutely believe/know that your mom is not in hell. In fact, there is no hell. Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven is within you, so you take it with you. It's up to you how long it takes you to see what you have in there, but you'll find it, and so will your mom. Please, don't let people who don't have a clue what they are talking about make you sad for one second. It doesn't matter what your mom believed, she is just fine. People who don't know the answer, and that is almost all of us, aren't punished for being wrong. Let me throw this concept at you. If there is a hell and the devil controls it, then those that follow the teachings of the devil will end up there. If the devil makes people do evil things, why would the devil punish such people? It makes more sense that the devil will reward evil doers in the same way that god rewards the good. By this logic, both good and evil will be rewarded and thus it doesn't make a difference what you do. The problem is that people can be morons. By their own logic the concept of heaven and hell is non-sensical. Even the bible is unclear about this. Actually the god of the old testament does both good and evil. In the new testament, the evil part is assigned to the devil, thus separate from the "good" god. There is a YouTube video on this concept. You are on the right track here. You just need to be more informed. Try the atheist experience online, watch some of the debates. You will learn a lot. With knowledge, you can now evaluate life (and death). Right now you are basing your feelings too much on the opinion of others. Get informed.
The best thing for you is to talk to her like she was here. Then just ask for help for yourself because no one on earth has the answer. Feel better is what your mom would want

Your mom is at peace. Find peace for yourself. People can be cruel and self serving when they try to be righteous. Just say, "Thank you, that makes me feel a whole lot better!". Maybe that will shut them up!
I think that's for God to know. No one can understand God or why he does things....but we need to trust him that everything will be okay.
Your mother would not go to hell for committing suicide. Suicide itself is not an unforgivable sin for believers.
Sadly her mistake was ignoring and denying God in life. We are given exactly two ultimate choices in life, each with clearly outlined consequences. If your mother did not choose God in life when she had every chance then she chose Not God (satan by default) and the consequences that go with that choice freely made.
I'm so sorry your mom hurt so much she needed to end her life. I just want to say NO ONE KNOWS WHAT HAPPENS IN THE LAST SECONDS OF SOMEONES LIFE!! Christ came for the broken. She very well could have accepted Him in the last minute. Your mom was in ALOT of pain I'm sure. Tell those people they should not judge or they will be judged. Then tell them to mind their own business.

I'm sorry about your loss. When someone starts to tell you that your Mom is in hell, why not tell them that subject is not up for discussion? Seriously, do not even discuss it with them. There are so many different views on suicide. I believe that God is a fair and loving God. He would not send your Mom to hell without first giving her a chance to choose Heaven. Try to ignore people who have no decency and focus on remembering your Mom and the great times you had. If you haven't already, you might want to set aside some time just to savor the memories, maybe eat her favorite food, and watch her favorite movie. I think it would be a way to honor her memory. There's no good way to answer this question. According to Christian belief yes, but you just have to believe she's done enough good in her life that she won't rot for a sin she committed.

If your mom was a good person then maybe yes. And it's Gods choice to choose. I as a Christian and like others must live my life through Jesus. God cured my disorder and helped me and my girlfriend from becoming sinners and from escaping troubles. I really recommend you to become Christian..Christianity is the truth and many people have felt gods voice or help.
First off, I don't believe that anyone who commits suicide goes to Hell. You get really low, feel like absoultely everything is lost, you just want a way OUT. There is a Lake of Fire referred to in the Bible but that is reserved for The Devil and certain committed followers of the Devil. Not your average sinner (we are all sinners by the way).
