Marriage is just a contract, and I see no reason to exclude the LGBT community from being able to enter into that contract. The religious argument cannot be used, honestly because a religious marriage is not recognized by the government - you have to get a marriage license from them - and by accepting the religious argument the government is ruling in partiality to certain religious doctrines, which is against the Constitution.
I think if two people want to commit themselves to one another they should be allowed to. It should not matter what religion, race, or sexual orientation they are. A marriage is between two people and no one should be getting in the middle of that.
I'm for it, it's every humans right to be happy. Everyone should be allowed the same choices. How is a union of two people( especially those you will never meet) have any personal( or otherwise ) effect on you. I think this subject is brought up way too often, I think it should be filed with " should people marry outside race?", " Can I get HIV from a gay in the same room?"and " Why do Christians hate Atheists,Atheists hate christians?" People are just people, live and let live.
The real issue is with rights of the partners. I think there could be a civil union such that partners of the same sex can have similar rights as married folks but without the need for "marriage". I think anatomy gave the voting decision on the matter and forcing the issue and dragging down marriage to an unnatural level doesn't make much sense.
Two of my best guy friends are married to each other and they are the cutest couple you've ever seen. My step daughter and her 2 kids are married to another woman and her 5 kids. It's one happy family. Who am I to be against happiness!?
Honestly, gay people do not "need" the right to get married!
Yet people will argue that to be "equal" they need it!
They want the social acceptance!
To be honest though gay people shouldn't make priests and others have to marry them. They can simple go file their paperwork. And while people who are gay have made their choice there is no real reason against gay marriage except for the "yuck factor."
If their happy then no one has the right to take that away from them. I don't understand why some religious people believe that is it wrong (not bashing anyone by the way) but that's their opinion and I don't agree with it. If two people are happy then it's their life. It's not like everyone around them is also in the relationship so other people have no say in my opinion. That'd be like bashing someone for liking dogs more than cats.
Nope i actually think they are cute. people make way to much of a big deal because if it's not their relationship they shouldn't be worrying about it Then there is the religious sid eof it where people say they won't go to heaven cause they are gay. If they don't go to heaven how does that affect you.
Every single person, no matter what their sexual orientation, deserves happiness through marriage. Each person is equal, everyone knows that, you know, except gay people (please excuse the sarcasm). I think it's wrong to deny two lovers marriage just because they're of the same sex.
I don't think being gay is bad. You want to express who you are and gay marriage is when you have the same feelings like the person you're going to spend your life with. I think gay marriage is just a way of showing that you can love anyone and if your heart led you to them than so be it. I wish I had a gay friend at my age.
Love is love. It doesn't matter and from what I have seen, gay couples are the happiest people ever, than straight couples. I'm 100% straight, but I strongly support gay and bi people. I love them. I love having gay guys as my friends; even though they're straight-up divas haha Gay girls, not so much, 'cause they turn on me, and it creeps me out, but still... there's nothing wrong with it.
I'm pansexual (look it up) and I feel that gay marriage is a self choice and if two people wish to get married WOOHOO good for them, and honestly where in the bible does it say NO SAME SEX MARRIGE! It's not in the ten comandments AND god made Adam and eve so they can REPREDUCE if there was an "Adam and Steve" You wouldn't be Alive. Would you? THINK ABOUT THAT HOMOPHOBES!
Bein Gay, Bi, Lesbian or Transgender is a crime. Ppl are more worried about Gay ppl than kiss all over tha world who don't have food, clothes or shelter. So ppl call it a crime.. Wat about straight ppl having sex before marriage or judging ppl?? Judging sumbody is tha worst sin there is!! Except everybody for who an wat they are
I dont think it matters if they are male or female. They have the right to be happy, and no one should judge them on that. If they are happy thats all that matters. Love doesn't have a rule book. You can love who ever you want.
