If your friend has multiple write ups for being late to work, he or she was not wrongfully terminated. Most companies give you two warnings, then the third time you're gone. There is no excuse for being late to work. You should know what traffic patterns are like. Most places want you in the building before your start time so you have time to actually be in position ready to work at your starting time.

Tnx coolmom...it actually started by a cellphone that was missing or stolen so they investigate and came to a conclusion by suspending my friend 3 days and after the 3 days verdict was they had to let my friend go base on what they saw on file, they disregarded the cellphone part because they already did an investigation. I mean if they were looking at files to let people go they should let other people thats more worst than her file go. There was another incident that happen between the dsd daughter and her the daughter was verbally abusing cursing and wanted to hit her but she hit the wall, and that person only got a warning n my friend got a write up and it wasn't even her fault. Idk its not making any sense she's trying to see if she got a case against them because there some how unprofessional. Tnx and sorry if it's long I mean there's more to it but this is all I'm gonna go:)

Believe me, I feel her frustration. I've been doing what I do for over 6 years, & have watched far less qualified people than me get promoted over me. The latest is 2 people who have horrible attendance records get better jobs over me. I am dumbfounded & hurt so deeply you can't even imagine. There are people I've worked with all of this time who are as confused as I am as to what's going on. The writing is on the wall that I desperately need to find something, but in this economy, unless you have a specific degree like nursing or accounting, that's extremely difficult. So I feel very stuck & very frustrated right now.

Yes, she was really shock to hear that verdict that it doesn't have anything to do with patients negligence or cursing at another co worker so she's really frustrated and felt humiliated. Thats why she already filed a complaint against the dsd's daughter. Just because they got family member running that facility doesn't mean their right and can do what ever they want. Tnx coolmom, she's actually talking to some lawyers tom to see if she has a chance. And yes I feel you on how some people work so hard and so long but don't get recognized at all.

Looking through base on your file and seeing write up's and coming to work late sometimes is not considered wrongful termination. This is because you gave yourself access to files that you are not supposed to be looking at and in the process broke the employee and employer trust relation or confidential agreement.
