Something About Mary, and The Hangover I think the secret to have a funny movie seem HUGELY hysterical is to go to the theater not knowing you're going to be seeing a comedy. Also, if the comedy is recommended by someone whose sense of humor is NOT amusing to you, that helps lower your expectations too! Works for horror, also. I watched Fatal Attraction the first night it showed in theaters, and the title was the only thing I knew about it. By the time my friends saw it, it had been talked about so much that they were bored.
The original RUSH HOUR by a landslide, folks!!!!! It never gets old to me. I saw it 3X in the theater and I probably average 4 times a year (usually when I'm not in a good mood) it cheers me up every time. I have the VHS & DVD. GIVE IT A SHOT! Great for Family Night. Great plot, action, drama, a kid, and funny as hell! You can't ask for more than that. Starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
