Well, there are ways to make food taste good without using a lot of fat (or salt or sugar), but it generally means cooking from scratch at home and that's "too much work" for some people. A gram of fat has more calories in it than an gram of protein or carbohydrate. Seems a little unfair, but that's the way it is.
The Food industry doesn`t care if your fat or unhealthy, ( they just want to make a buck so they make it taste good with lots of fat...) and the medical industry benefits from it. The unhealthier you are, the more you`ll spend on doctors and medicine..the fatter you are the more likely you`ll buy weight loss products...It`s all about money.. There is a lot of good food that`s low in fat or has the type of fat that doesn`t make you as fat as quickly. Food made with Coconut oil for example..(very yummy) or olive oil.. The body can burn it quicker and easier than many other fats. Avocados have a lot of fat..but it`s the healthy kind. Eat more home made guacamole and home made food in general...that way you can control what you eat and live healthier and longer.
I suspect that it is more a matter of the body tying up excess nutrients than anything else. You still need sugar after you eat such food because the energy is not made available. Grease really doesn't make it tasty. Drink some Crisco.
Fat tastes good because it is good for you. Our ancestors lived much better if they ate fat when they could get a hold of it. The problem is that it is very available now for us, so we may eat too much of it and become overweight. But the instinct is a healthy one.
