It's the way their brought up. When I was younger I didn't like spicy foods (I'm not Hispanic). But when I got older I started testing spicy food & now, it's dull without the spices; ie: hot salsa, jalapenos, etc.
I think it is because spicy foods have been a part of their culture for so long. That is not just a Hispanic thing though. I am white and can tolerate very spicy foods too. I just do not like them much. There is a difference.
It depends on spicy for me. I can't usually eat that much spice but it's where they come from and it's what they're used too. Kind of like us Americans and greasy fast food. But i think that you have to have a LOT of talent to eat as much as spice as they can!!!
Ha really funny because I asked myself that too, im not sure but its like ketchup, you would put it almost everything fries, hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, and all those good stuffs. It just wouldnt be good alone. Mexicans wouldnt like that food without spicy and after they keep eating it they just add more! :) Hope i helped?
