How long does it take for a broken finger to heal? How long should I keep my fingers taped together and should I sleep with them taped?

It's not very serious, just a small fracture in the ring finger on my right hand. Not sure where exactly though, the doctor didn't mention it. But I think it's somewhere around the middle joint.

you shouldn't tape it. take a thin small rage and rap it around the finger, then take two plastic spoons and rip them so that the scoop part of the spoon is off and put each 'stick' (aka spoon thingy) and put them on opposite sides of your fingers and tape it in place. Thats what I did. & yeah, it's fine to sleep with it. It also make take a couple weeks or so to heal

I bought a finger splint but the doctor told me not to use it but tape the broken finger (ring finger) and the middle finger together.

That's also a really good idea. But it mat cause your middle finger to be really stiff once your finger has healed and you take the tape off. But it's worth a try :)

Thanks :) I'm kinda pissed of though, I was supposed to take a piano exam about a month ago but we pushed it to this Friday -.- So I'll have to push it forward another month.
