You know I was in Greece. And there was a gyros stand which was crowded, so I thought, "great, I'm going to get a real greek gyro!" So I placed my order, and when I got it I was surprised how similar it was to the ones I get in the states. It was good but it was nothing special. Then I noticed a poster on the wall advertising gyros. In the fine print it read "Kronos Meat Company Chicago Illinois. They had those meat cylinders imported from the states. I was very disappointed. If it's hard to get a real gyros in Greece, it must even harder to get one in America. Good luck! Maybe if you went to a Greek Orthodox Church you can find someone who can steer you in the right direction.
