Probably those people who walked here from Europe some 10 to 13 thousand years ago over the land bridge. Only it wasn't called America then. Although I believe fossils of people have been found in the usa dating back to around 50 thousand years.

Well, as other answers clearly state, the Native Americans were here first.
The first Europeans to arrive on the shores of the Americas were (Guess what? It isn't Columbus!) the Norse (Vikings). There is also evidence that the Templars may have come here, as well, before Columbus 'discovered' the Americas. Some historians believe the Holy Grail is hidden somewhere in North America. Columbus was just the first person to make his discovery of the Americas known, and he never once set foot on the mainland of North or South America.

I believe it was Leif Eriksson or his son who was the first to discover America, not including the natives
Report as
That is probably correct, but we aren't entirely certain he himself led the voyage. Either way, Eriksson was Norse.
Report as
Weather he led the voyage or not, most people go with it, besides. I guess we can at-least he was there, on the first voyage. But it was most likest him because, his father *Erik the Red* Discovered Greenland, he became rich off the land, selling to other Norsemen because Iceland was crowded. So if he was an adventurer, who was rich and had a son, put them together. Hence it was most likely Leif Eriksson
Report as
Leif Eriksson discovered Newfoundland in Canada, but there weren't any long expeditions to the actual America region, there's a slight chance the Nordic could have gotten to places like where current Montana and North Dakota are.

No one. The concept of discovery is racist. Think about it.

They were mostly likely Asians who crossed into the Americas many thousands of years ago, during an ice age.

Not Columbus. Obviously the Native Americans were there first. Whether there was another people (perhaps nomadic or similar), before they arrived, is unknown.
