What is c, this is a math equation I'm stuck on.

-c+2=5

Report as

Treat the "c" as if it were an "x", it's just a variable:
Subtract the 2 on both sides. On one it should cancel out and the other leave you with 3
Now you should have -c = 3
Tada! The variable is 3. Plug in to check.

Report as

C= -3

Report as

c=(-3) the opposite of negative three is positive three, three plus two equals 5

Report as

-c + 2 = 5
(-1)c + 2 = 5
(-1)c + 2 - 2= 5 - 2
(-1)c = 3
(-1)c divide or multiply by -1= 3 divide or multiply by -1
c= -3
or simply
-c + 2 = 5
-c+c +2 = c + 5
2 = c + 5
2 - 5 = c
-3 = c
