because the currently Bible was corrupted , Allah says :
( 72 ) They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers.
( 73 ) They have certainly disbelieved who say, "Allah is the third of three." And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.
( 74 ) So will they not repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
( 75 ) The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food. Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded.

People believe what makes sense to them, what seems a reasonable way for the universe to be. It doesn't matter what's in a book or not in a book, including the Bible. We have minds, and even when we don't seem to be using them, we are.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are 3 separate entities but one. Kind of confusing I know. Together they make up the Holy Trinity. 3=tri. Your right it's not in the bible. It probably got started as an easier way to describe The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That's ALOT to write out haha!
The word Trinity is not in the bible. It is a word used to describe the union of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit as one entity. There has always been a debate if the three are all one being or three separate beings. The Trinity means that it is one entity in three separate beings. The three in one.
Well the fourth century Christians took the idea of from the pagans, so they can convert the pagans into Christianity. The pagans at the time had trinity gods that they worshiped, and the forth century wanted to conform to the pagans standards rather then the bibles standards.
You raise a good thought. The word "Trinity" is never mentioned in the Bible. In fact at Galatians 3:20 is states, “God is only one." And at John 17:3 it states, “This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.” They are clearly two different people! If you'd like to know more about how the trinity doctrine started, I suggest you read this article at http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20091101/myth-god-is-a-trinity/

The concept of trinity - not just the word - is not in the Bible, or not even in the NT. one can deduce the trinity idea from Scripture only by committing the logical flaw of equivocation. It is a later Christian idea of how to make their concoction of a faith acceptable to pagans. Yes, it's a logically ridiculous idea, but a successful one, unfortunately.
