How do I clean my house with two babies?

I want my house as clean as possible. My husband is complaining and my mother in law thinks I am a bad parent because the house isn't as clean as it should be. I have an 18 month old and a 7 month old. I stay home with them both. any tips that might help?

Tell them if they don't like it THEY can do something about it. You are dealing with the children.

Tell your husband he can help you out if he thinks the house isn't clean enough and tell your mother in law to mind her own business. I have a 4yr old and 2yr old and went through something similar.

Get your husband and mother in law to either help you with the kids or with the cleaning. They have no right to complain if they don't help.

Well, you can cover them in moist paper towels and drag them across a hard floor. Works great, like a little mop with a pulse.

Nobody will flag this, we just answered the question how do you clean a house with two babies, I like your idea, that's worth trying, the pulse will maybe give it a beating action to do that deep scrubbing...)

Yeah I have myself in the same situation I clean when mine are asleep or before they wake up. The day my husband has off I get him to watch the kids while I clean, or vise versa. If you have someone that will watch the babies clean the house in that time.

As a husband and a father of three teenage girls, I speak from experience! My wife is on business and I'm here with our children well needless to say we are a neat family I always come home to food cooked and a nice clean house but without my wife here it looks more like hurricane Katrina hit it. I don't know how she does it but she does! in laws are very hard to deal with I've come to the realization there is no pleasing them. ask your husband for help! I sure am going to start helping my wife out after this it certainly is stressful I couldn't imagine what it would have been like when my kids were babies oh lord! I feel for you! best of luck though :)

Thanks. I just wish my husband could do more than work 7-8 hours and say he is tired and stuff when my job is a 24/7 job. he don't realize how tired and stressed I am. I do lay them down for a nap but when I do one is awake while the other is asleep and vice versa. we don't get help except food stamps. we pay our bills and don't depend on anyone to help us. my MIL is over protective like she took my daughter to the hospital over a side effect from one of her shots she got at the doctors office and I told her no she is fine and she took it upon herself to take her cuz at the time she was spending the night with her and she is nosy and always tries to push my husband to do things for her that she can do herself and always buying mine and my husbands kids things and she over does it. I have told her not to and she does the exact opposite of what we say to do. she wont listen to her husband, sons, daughter, sisters, no one. the only person she listens to is her oldest son. I try to explain to my husband what I deal with everyday with NO BREAKS from the house or kids. the first break im getting in 3 months is not this weekend but the next. valentine weekend so my hubby and I can have some alone time. i don't ask for breaks either. MY mom VOLUNTEERED to watch both our kids for A night so i can get a break. it was nice of her and we are a neat family too. the things he complains about is the toys. i work hard but it seems as if its not good enough for anyone. and when he is home we burn wood for heat so he goes and cuts and splits wood when he isn't working and during the summer he don't want to watch both kids because its too much work for him. he comes home and thinks he can do nothing while i take care of both kids and him. so its like taking care of 3 kids because im the ONLY neat one in this house but he blames me for it like i don't do enough already. i take care of the kids and house, do the shopping, make sure ALL bills are paid, make all the appointment and make arrangements for the appointments, and more.

Yep! First of all:
Explain to your m-i-l that you put your
Beautiful body thru a lot of chemical and hormonalChanges just so SHE could be a "Gramy". And she should come over to enjoy those babies and not notice the hpuskeeping!
Ask her how she handled it in her day!
I had 3 boys in 5 years. I look at other moms today----and wonder how i ever got thru those years.(my momhad

I always did while my little one slept. Also used a play pen and watched him while I was cleaning. There are ways. You have to find a medium that works for you. :)
