In Naruto does Hidan have any sort of back story?

Nothing as of the moment really. Just him and Kakuzu talking about his past to present to future fascination and devout involvement in his religion called Jashin where in it somehow involves blood rituals of sorts that may be a bit too colorful for this site.

Thanks I'm a huge Naruto fan but haven't watched some of the episodes lately so I didn't know if something had came up.

He was recently resurrected on one of the "filler" episodes both him and deidara as Kabuto's pawns. Nothing really explained or gave more details about his past. But yeah, he actually had a role there for a bit.
