How do new oceanic crust and old oceanic crust defer?

This is for my science homework and it's due tomorrow! HELP please!

Report as

The difference between the new oceanic crust and the old oceanic crust is in their density. The old oceanic crust is heavier because of accumulation of an under layer of cooled mantle rock. The new oceanic crust is not as heavy.

New oceanic crust defers by volcanoes at the mid-ocean ridges. Old oceanic crust defers on plate boundaries, at the beginning of the ocean by shifts in the plate tectonics.
