I had a student one time who was having a lot of trouble in school, and I would tutor him on my own time after school. His parents sent me (to the school) 6 dozen roses.....one dozen for each of his years. (He was 6). It was very touching to me to know they appreciated my efforts when I didn't expect anything.
When I first got my job teaching and had no money until my first paycheck one month later , someone from my school gave me $500 anonymously from my school so my little boy and I could eat and pay bills. That was a lot of money 30 years ago and still is.
My brother-in-law takes good care of me, he fixed our water heater just a few weeks ago, he has also built a ramp so we can get the wheelchair into the house, and took time off from work to help us move. He is a living doll, and my guardian angel. My husband tends to me like I was a queen, which I guess I am to him. My legs get swollen and develop huge blisters, every day my Love rubs ointment on them, and wraps them with a flex bandage. Even now I cry just thinking about how kind and loving these two wonderful men are to me. I am very, very lucky. And my sister is always there for me too--without them, I would not be here today.
